‘Europe – Whenever You’re Ready’, the international tourism communication campaign by the European Commission has
launched a new contest ‘Plan Your Vacation’ to encourage Indian travellers to discover and explore Europe beyond the regular tourist attractions.
The contest encourages fans to explore more about Europe and plan a unique itinerary for holidays in Europe, to be submitted on the ‘Europe – Whenever You’re Ready’ Facebook application. The itinerary should cover at least three European destinations, bound by a common theme, within an affordable budget for a period of seven to 15 days. The best itinerary will win return airfares to go to and experience Europe.Launched on 22 November 2013, the contest will run for three weeks, while the winner will be announced soon after.
With this new contest, the campaign has extended the opportunity to explore Europe for a larger audience. ‘Europe – Whenever You’re Ready’ highlights the diversity that Europe offers travellers and tourists, at any time of the year. The campaign is aimed in particular for visitors from Brazil, Russia, India, China, Argentina and Chile.
