Cruise and Maritime Voyages has appointed Bob McGowan to the new role of head of customer services.
One of the youngest directors in cruise history, he took responsibility for the Thomson Spirit at 24 and has spent many years both working at sea and on land.
He managed a high-end entertainment programme in Mexico, working with stars from London’s West End, for Thomson’s Sensatori brand.
He joined Cruise and Maritime Voyages as passenger services director in 2010, where he worked on Marco Polo and Ocean Countess.
In 2012 he spent a short time away from the company at the Ramada Encore in Belfast city centre, as the deputy general manager before returning for this role.
Chris Coates, commercial director at CMV said “Bob has a great knowledge of Cruise and Maritime and having worked onboard the ships, his experience will further enable us to deliver the best product at sea.”
