The strategy of working closely with airline network partners has rich dividends on a country’s economic growth. These positive sentiments were expressed by James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ president and chief executive at the Global Aerospace Summit in Abu Dhabi.
Hogan said: “Etihad Airways continues to be our core business and main focus, yet through our network partners, the airline is building a global presence which we wouldn’t be able to do alone.”
The benefits highlighted from the partnerships include economies of scale through joint procurement and resource sharing, expanded networks, improved revenue opportunities and reciprocal cost and efficiency gains. The net result is stronger, competitive airlines, creating employment and contributing to economic growth.
