Japan Airlines will commence the roll-out of its new ‘JAL Sky Next’ cabin products next month.
Initially announced in January 2014, the revamped cabin will include new leather seats in all three classes, plus LED lighting, new in-flight entertainment and Wi-Fi services.
The seats will initially be deployed on the Boeing 777 aircraft operating three times a day between Tokyo Haneda and Fukuoka. Following this, a total of 77 B777, B767 and B737 aircraft are scheduled to be revamped and progressively introduced on JAL’s domestic routes.
The JAL Sky Next cabins mark the latest phase of the airline’s programme of in-flight product upgrades. JAL has already rolled out its JAL Sky Suite products on several long-haul B777 aircraft, including routes to Los Angeles, New York, Frankfurt and London, and intends to continue the roll-out on its international B767s.
