In an effort to enhance its customer offering, Destinia.com recently revamped its website.
The new portal offers a clean design with fully integrated search tools. Additionally, the online travel agency has also launched a mobile and new tablet app.
“Adapting to preferences of each market, and offering interesting recommendations for them is a key element in our service,” said Amuda Goueli, CEO and co-founder of Destinia.com. “We see a responsive website as an obligation rather than an option, and we have applied this principle to our mobile and tablet app as well.”
The updated its mobile app will offer a 360 degree experience while details are being finalised for a tablet version. The new app also allows the functionality to rent a car, as well as managing their current bookings.
The updated app also has a built-in GPS system, which detects flights from the closest airport to the user, as well as hotels in the vicinity.
“Modern travellers use multiple gadgets and we want to offer them an optimum and consistent user experience, regardless of their location. In the MENA region, web traffic from mobile devices (phones and tablets) is higher than in Europe. In KSA and the UAE it has reached 64 and 61 percent respectively, and in 2014 reservations through this source reached 24% in KSA and 22% in UAE,” explained Goueli.
