The Careers UAE 2015 event will witness Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) the launch of a new programme.

The programme will unveil short term and long term plans which will see recruitment and development of young Emirati people.

The ‘Tourism Talent Incubator’, will be a long-term industry familiarisation programme offered to all new Emirati graduate recruits to DTCM. The first intake will happen later in the year. Undertaken as part of DTCM employment, the programme will see individuals completing training within different sectors of tourism and hospitality industry.

HE Helal Saeed Almarri, director general of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing said: “With tourism a major pillar of Dubai’s strategic economic diversification and central to the Dubai Plan 2021, the industry and its related sectors offer many employment opportunities for Emirati nationals. This will be both within the government and private sector. It is our aim to identify and nurture talented young Emiratis who can become the future of our industry and play key roles in contribution of tourism to Dubai’s growth.”

The next programme titled ‘ANA DUBAI’ (Arabic for ‘I Am Dubai’) is a short term focus. The first event attended under this new scheme is Careers 2015.
