Edinburgh’s new-look Princes Street Suites have been unveiled following a £350,000 refurbishment.

The stylish high-end serviced apartments, located in the heart of the capital, have been transformed to create a modern Scottish aesthetic, thanks to Glasgow-based interior designer, Linda Reid.

All 37 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments in the former Edinburgh Post Office building now feature bespoke furniture, furnishings and accessories, including a signature blue plaid.

“The Princes Street Suites are a wonderful blend of old and new, with part of the building dating back to 1816 and another section very contemporary in feel. As such, I wanted to make sure the design reflected this and brought these two elements together,” said Reid.

“Another important aspect of the design was the introduction of our signature blue plaid, which really informed the modern Scottish aesthetic in the apartments. It’s wonderful to see this fantastic property with a brand new lease of life during its bicentenary year.”

Managed by the UK’s largest independent hotel management company, Redefine/BDL Hotels, the refurbishment is the first major project undertaken by Princes Street Suites’ new general manager, Fiona Mackenzie.
