Inya WingKeppel Land Limited has expanded the Sedona Hotel Yangon with a new 29-storey Inya Wing.

Guest-of-Honour H.E. U Ohn Maung, Union Minister, Ministry of Hotels and Tourism and Mr Koh Chee Chian, Singapore’s Deputy Chief of Mission and Counsellor to Myanmar, attended the ceremony.

They were accompanied by senior management from Keppel Corporation and Keppel Land and 300 guests.

Mr Ng Ooi Hooi, president (regional investments) of Keppel Land, said: “Keppel Land was one of the first foreign companies to enter Myanmar.

“This year marks Sedona Hotel Yangon’s 20th anniversary since its opening in 1996. We will continue to participate in the country’s growth in tourism, which is targeting 7.5 million visitor arrivals per annum by 2020.

“The new Inya Wing, with its 431 spacious and well-appointed rooms, will bring the total room inventory at Sedona Hotel Yangon to 797 and Sedona’s portfolio in Myanmar to over 1,000 rooms.

“Inya Wing will set a new benchmark for modern hospitality in Yangon, in line with Sedona’s brand promise to provide our customers with quality and thoughtful experiences.”

Designed by a team of consultants from Singapore, including Forum Architects, Inya Wing is linked to the existing hotel block via a new connector which features a high-end retail gallery and an elevated podium that houses an alfresco terrace featuring a freeform swimming pool, fitness centre, an all-day dining restaurant, a spa and an Executive Club Lounge.
